Working Together

Editing:

  • 1- reach out, with a brief description of your work, and (if you know) what services you would be interested in.

    2- I will get back in touch so we can set up a Zoom/Google Meet/phone call, and discuss your project or needs more in-depth, as well as the timeframe I would need to work on it.

    3- in the agreed-upon timeframe, and after I have reviewed the work you have sent me, I will email you the feedback/edits, as well as any other questions that have come up during my review.

    4- we have another follow-up call to discuss any lingering questions or clarifications you may need after going through the edits, as well as whether you’d like additional services or help.

Creative Guidance:

  • Reach out so we can set up 45 minutes to chat. If you already have some preliminary questions you’d like to share by email beforehand, I will make sure to take that into account and answer them at the top of our meeting. Otherwise, we can simply meet and go from there.

  • Reach out so we can set up a time. If you have an idea of the general direction of your questions, feel free to share when you write me, so I can come best prepared, but do not worry if you’re not sure. We will have plenty of time over the course of the 1h-1h30 to explore different topics.

  • When you reach out, please attach the sample of the work(s) in question, along with the area of focus you’re interested in (line editing? general opinion? structural suggestions? etc.). When I write back, I will give you a timeframe for when I can get back to you with my review, and we can set up a meeting time. When we meet, we will discuss over the course of 1h-1h30, and figure out together whether you would benefit from some of the other services I offer.

    - Stories: your choice of max 3, or up to 3000 words;

    - MS sample: max 5000 words;

    - Poetry or flash fiction: up to 10;

    - Essays or articles: your choice of max 3, or up to 4,500 words.

    For any forms you’re not sure of, feel free to write me.

  • Reach out and give as much detail as you are able to on your project(s) or idea — if you have samples you’d like to share, even better! — and what you are looking to get out of coaching. Do you have areas of concern you need help with? Some skills you want to develop? Do you frequently have trouble getting your ideas off the ground? When I write back we will set up a time for an introductory, 1h-1h30 call, where we will go more in-depth. After that call, I’ll follow up with suggested times for our bimonthly 1h30 check-ins. Every week, you will send me samples, as outlined in the What I Offer + Rates section, and I will get back to you with written feedback.
